Under the scheme, HDFC would offer a fixed interest rate of 8.25 per cent up to March 2011, nine per cent for the next one year and a floating rate thereafter.
The offer will be available for all customers who avail at least part of the loan by June 30, an HDFC spokesperson told PTI. The scheme had ended April 30.
Encouraged by strong demand for special schemes, SBI extended its teaser scheme till April 30 first and decided to extend it further till June 30. However, most of the banks had stopped offering special home loan offers, better known as teaser rates under which they offered loans at cheaper rate to customers for a fixed period.
