Cadre system to promote staff in civic bodies

Speaking to reporters, the Urban Development Minister S Suresh Kumar said the need to develop a cadre system emerged when an officer was transferred from Bangalore BBMP to Hubli municipal corporation. He got the transfer cancelled by the court of law where he challenged that both the municipal bodies are not the same and have no similar cadre.

The minister said a draft notification for the common cadre recruitment is ready and further discussions are on with the Chief Minister to identify the posts to be created.
He said the Finance department wanted some more information in this regard.
