Melee near counting centre

The police had a tought time controlling the crowd.

Along with the candidates, there is a provision for the allowing their agents into the counting centres. Since there was a keen contest the number of candidates in the fray was more and their agents were correspondingly also more.

They have to enter the counting centres after displaying the passes. While entering there was a mad rush as everyone tried to enter at the same time.  

The police were forced to do lathi charge and in this melee many fell down. As there was prohibitory order thousands were waiting on Ananthpur road to know the results.
The police anticipating this rush had put up barricades.
