Don't pay touts, aspiring lecturers warned

He has made this appeal, as there are complaints that the middlemen are collecting money from the candidates.

For the 2,550 posts, already the appointment process for 2,354 posts have been completed. The appointments are being done as there are shortage of lecturers.

There was information that with regard to this, a few held a meeting in Tumkur and demanded a fixed sum from the candidates who are being selected.

There seems to be a network to bring about a bad name to the government, ministers and the education department, said Shivayogiswamy at a press conference, on Monday.   
There was a discussion at the Belgaum session about the candidates getting M Phil through distance education from outside the State universities. A few of the universities had given the relevant documents to the government regarding this and the reports from other universities were expected.

However, as the colleges are going to reopen in July, it was decided to make conditional appointments, he justified.

PU to degree

If the Pre-University colleges are separated from the degree colleges, then the remaining 558 lecturers will be taken back from PU colleges to degree colleges, he said.
Mahiti Sindhu lecturers are not getting their salaries properly. In order to avoid this instead of Keonics, the DSRT has been asked to distribute the salaries, he said.
A proposal has been sent to the Law Department to bring out the JOC lecturers from the Labour Department and give them job security, he said.
