Theatre school's convention from today

The Shivakumar School of Theatre is organising the convention along with the National School of Drama, New Delhi. The convention aims at exploring the various facets of theatre education. Directorate of Kannada and Culture and Karnataka Nataka Academy have also lent their support. 

The convention being organised under the guidance of Sanehalli seer Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swami, popularly referred to as Rangajangama (theatre seer), well known for his innovative ways of promoting theatre, will explore new avenues in theatre education.

The National School of Drama, New Delhi, University of Hyderabad, Kerala School of Drama and Fine arts, Natana Kairali from Kerala and other theatre institutions are participating. Well-known theatre personalities and folk scholars will also be participating.

Various aspects of theatre including - developing interaction between drama schools, and training aspects of folk, traditional and modern theatre. Demonstrations will be held to exchange teaching methods, syllabus and other information. A panel discussions about theories of theatre education and contemporary topics will be held by the experts.
