Transfer of project from Palike to BDA flayed

Addressing reporters, Nagraj said the move by stating that the unilateral decision of transferring projects to the BDA seriously undermines the authority of the elected representative in the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.

The opposition is all set to storm the well in case the Mayor does not discuss the issue in the monthly Corporation meeting to be held on Friday. He raised the issue of BBMP being overruled by the Government to give Occupancy Certificates (OC) to 116 buildings in the City.

Hoodwinking act

Nagaraj quoted examples of 10 road widening projects being transferred to the Bangalore Development Authority apart from other projects to “hoodwink” the representatives of the people who will question the logic behind the entire matter.

With regard to the delay in constituting the Standing Committees, Nagraj said the issue will be raised in the house on Friday.  “Without constituting the Standing Committees, we cannot even think about Budget discussion,” he said.
