This not only helped the police to investigate the cases fast, but also made them to develop a mechanism to monitor cyber cafes and moot effective laws. He said the State had framed effective laws to contain cyber crimes and the Karnataka police had expertise in dealing with any kind of such offenses. He advised the cyber cafe owners to keep a record of customers and use security software to check cyber crimes.<br /><br />Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar said several instances had proved that cyber cafes were being used for transmitting information to carry out anti-national activities. <br /><br />He said, the Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissionerate has been taking elaborate measures to contain cyber cafes being used for committing crimes. A meeting of cyber cafe owners was held recently to create an awareness among them about the cyber crimes and cyber laws.
