Security has been beefed up in G Yaradakere village in Yagati police station limits where the fight broke out and DySP Mallikarjuna has urged the people to maintain peace in the region. Villagers unitedly handed over a land for construction of Community hall and school at Yaradakere village. Accordingly buildings have been built but only construction of toilet is pending. When construction of toilet was started Dharanendra, a person living next to the said plot took objection. In this regard the villagers had called for a meeting to settle the matter amicably on Wednesday evening. During the meeting Dharanendra did not agree to certain issues kept forth by the team heading the meeting and soon the discussion turned bitter with usage of slanderous words. This became serious and ended up in fist fight with many suffering serious injured.
Thimmappa, Basavaraju, Chandrappa, Thippaiah, Dharanendra, Pradeep, Ramesh, Arun, lokesh have been admitted to Birur hospital.
Security has been beefed up in the area to maintain law and order.
