A preparatory meeting was held in this regard under the presidentship of District Sessions Judge H L Deshpande.
The Judge called upon all the departments to actively take part in the seminar and help in eradicating social evil of child labour, which is strongly prevalent in the district.
“There is a need to create an awareness on the same,” he added.
The meet was attended by Labour department officials Appayya Shindihatti, Gopalagowda, Mangalore City Corporation Joint Commissioner Madhukar Gadkar, Legal Services AUthority Secretary R V Patil and others.
