Nafeesa Qureshi, a 25-year-old homemaker from suburban Bandra, broke down in the court recalling the death of her daughter Afreen, who was shot by two Pakistani terrorists at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST).

Nafeesa herself was injured, and Afreen, bleeding profusely from the bullets fired by the two senseless terrorists, was screaming uncontrollably with pain in her lap.

“Meri beti Afreen mere godh mein tadap rahi thi, khoon beh raha tha. Phir usne dum toda aur mein behosh ho gayi (My daughter Afreen was writhing in pain in my lap. She was bleeding and then died. I lost consciousness),” Nafeesa told the court. She was asked if she could identify the attacker, she pointed at the only captured Pakistani terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab and said: “He was one of them.” Kasab was in the dock along with two Indian accused in the 26/11 trial.
