Kasab complains to court that he was shown to witnesses

"Jab gavah ko andar laya jaa raha tha aur mujhe bhi laya jaa raha tha toh mujhe khada kar diya gaya. (When I was being brought to the court witnesses were also coming to the court and I was asked to stop before them)," Kasab told the court.

"Were you not brought to the court in the morning?", Special judge M L Tahaliyani asked.

"Nahin subah laya gaya lekin raaste mein khada kar diya. (I was brought but was stopped on the way)," Kasab said.

Kasab's lawyer Abbas Kazmi took a strong objection to his client allegedly being "shown" to witnesses prior to the court proceedings and said the police should desist from such practices.

Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said the act, if committed, was not deliberate and it would be ensured that does not recur. The court could enquire in the matter if required, he said.

Outside the court, Kazmi told reporters that he will file applications objecting to Kasab being "shown" to witnesses and their families being allowed in the court.
