Stop Ragging

That a MCA student has committed suicide (DH 10th June 09) because of the torturous experiecnce of ragging by his seniors is really a very disturbing news. The college authorities now attribute it to his depression. But what about the suicide note which is quite eloquent about the cause of his death? Even for the depressed to commit suicide, there must be a provocation - big or small. But for the ragging, most likely, the tragedy would not have occured.

The entire community (Nation), the students and the heads of educational institutions in particular should start doing soul searching and stop this menace once for all.
