DDPI Narasimhaiah said “as the buses will remain off the road, students can not attend the classes. Hence, holiday has been declared for primary and high schools. To compensate the holiday, full day classes will be held on two Saturdays. However, BEO offices will not be closed.”
PU Board Deputy Director Cheluvappa said “college principals can declare holiday depending on the situation.”
Kodagu district Bus Owners Association. District Chamber of Commerce have also supported the bundh call.
The security has been beefed up in the district, said SP Manjunath Annigeri.
