Novel campaign to enroll tribal kids to school

As many as six children from the nomadic tribal community were enrolled to the Manchakallu Government Primary School near Siddakatte. A seven member family of Hakki Pikki community had come from Belur in Hassan district and settled at Siddakatte.

Six children of above five years old were identified and enrolled to the school.
Speaking on the occasion, Zilla Panchayat Standing Committee President K Santhosh Bhandary said “government is working towards the welfare of the children.”

K Vedananda Karanth, SDMC President Rama, Poonjasri Geleyara Balaga President Sridhar Poojary, entrepreneur Vasudeva Acharya and others were present.
