Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, he preferred to call the ongoing developments as ‘difference of opinion’, rather than ‘dissidence.’

Stating that the Reddys have not placed any demands before the government as reported in the media, Gowda said they (Reddys) have only raised certain issues pertaining to the development of Bellary.

To another query, he said his term as the President of the State BJP would end in November. But, the possibility of elections are less. “Many elections have taken place this year. The party high command wants me to continue as the BJP State chief,” he said.

On starting day train between Mangalore and Bangalore, he said that he will soon write another letter to the Union Railway Minister. “The demand may be fulfiled in another two months,” Gowda added.
