His style today is a rare fusion of ‘dhrupad’, ‘tantrakari’ and ‘gayaki ang’, representing the ‘baaj’ of ‘Maihar gharana’, the most notable exponents of which are Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar.
