Zilla Panchayat member Vinod Mada led the protest in which villagers of Adyappadi, Kenjaru and Malavooru participated. They alleged that the Kenjaru Gudda - Deccan Park road has been completely damaged as heavy trucks and cranes were plying on the road for the past several days to clear and shift the mangled remains of Air India Express IX 812 that crashed on May 22. Potholes were created at many places on the stretch due to the frequent plying of heavy trucks and cranes. The number of vehicles on the road too has been increased recently after the air mishap.  Villagers urged the authorities concerned to take initiative immediately to repair the damaged road. Villagers of Adyappadi, Kenjaru and other nearby regions depend on the road to reach their houses and also to Adyappadi Adinatheshwara Temple. A portion of the hillock has partially collapsed near Deccan Park road. Villagers blame that PWD and AAI did not take initiative even though the matter was brought to their notice.

PWD Executive Engineer Prabhakara visited the spot and spoke to the villagers. He assured that the issue will be sorted out soon. Officials of AAI too visited the spot.

The traffic on Airport road was completely disrupted as protestors blocked the road. The shifting work of mangled remains of Air India Express IX 812 was disrupted as the road was blocked.
