Financier robbed at knife point

According to the police, the suspects introduced themselves to Ravi M N of Maruthi Enterprises in II main road, K G Nagar near T Dasarahalli. The suspects claimed they wanted to avail loan and sought details from Ravi. They soon held Ravi at knife point and snatched his two cellphones and Rs 15,000 and fled, the police added.

Workers killed

Two construction workers were killed on the spot when the portion of a residential building came crashing down on them in Yelahanka New Town on Monday.

The dead have been identified as Subash (30) and Babu (35), both from Gulbarga. They were staying in makeshift sheds in the same area and were employed by Shivakumar.
According to police, the duo were busy demolishing an old two-storey house owned by Girish.

They were busy breaking walls in the first floor when the portion of the roof of ground floor collapsed plunging them into the ground. Suddenly, a portion of the wall in the first floor collapsed and fell on the duo killing them on the spot.

The police have booked a case of negligence against Girish, added the police.
