Bus services on 20 routes to various locations in Maharashtra from Aurad in Bidar and services to Sholapur, Akkalkot and Umarga from Afzalpur in Gulbarga have been stopped.
The sudden decision by the transport corporations of both the states to stop the service has left passengers stranded on either sides of the borders. Many of them are now relying on private operators to commute.
The officials said that decision was taken to avoid any untoward incidents.
