Deccan Herald on June 29 had reported the death of 35-year-old Kapali Patne at the hospital. After lodging a police complaint, Parikshit Dalal, Kapali’s husband had filed a complaint to KMC. The Council in turn had asked Santosh Hospital to submit Kapali’s casesheet which it has received. According to the KMC President Dr Chikkananjappa, he has never seen anybody succumbing due to acute anaphylactic reaction.
“There is a prima facie case here, which will be thoroughly investigated. We will shortly call on the doctors from the hospital and question them about the entire episode,” Dr Chikkananjappa added.
DCP Chandrashekhar told Deccan Herald that investigation is still proceeding. “The charge sheet will be filed once we get some concrete evidence,” the DCP added.
