JOIN USIn a letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, copies of which were released to the press, Kondaiah has accused the Reddys of using “sheer money power” to get their “godmother” Sushma Swaraj installed as the next prime minister.
“Our best efforts to curb the activities of Reddy brothers and prevent illegal mining have gone in vain since the BJP government is actively supporting illegal activities and no official has taken any steps to safeguard the wealth of the State,” Kondaiah has said in the letter.
Kondaiah has requested Sonia Gandhi to “get the impact of the money power of Reddy brothers in the future elections examined,” and suggest the Union Government to take appropriate steps to safeguard the mineral and forest wealth of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and also the political health of both the states.
