A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the state BJP top brass at Chief Minister Yeddyurappa’s residence in Bangalore on Wednesday morning.

The meeting also decided to take up various bills in the Legislature from Thursday, irrespective of whether the Opposition parties withdraw their dharna or not. Party sources said the Government was contemplating to complete the formalities of voting on the crucial demand for grants of 27 departments by Friday. The Government had sought a vote on account for the budget proposals-2010-11 for four months in March this year. The sanction granted by the Legislature ends on July 31.

Law Minister Suresh Kumar, when asked to comment on the Governor’s visit to Delhi, said, “It looks the Governor’s visit as well as the Congress demanding CBI probe, coincided. He is passing a judgement on the elected representatives. We had not heard of such incidents. He was a Law minister at the Centre. He is the best judge to decide how he should function.”
