On Wednesday he paid a surprise visit to some hospitals, markets and schools and noticed that garbage, dust and dirt dominated them. He was also unhappy to see that some buildings had developed cracks and required repair.

He then issued a circular ordering the officials to repair buildings which are in dilapidated condition, clean toilets, supply necessary drugs in Government hospitals, removal of waste materials from all these places, lighting arrangements all over the building, water arrangements, clearing encroachment from footpaths and addressing public grievances. He also ordered to take steps to ensure recovery of rent in BBMP market buildings.
