Sisters run over by train

According to railway police, the accident occurred when they were trying to cross the railway tracks. The sisters and a person named Vrushabhendra had come to the City to finalise an alliance for one of their relatives. They got down at the Nayandhalli railway station and began to cross the tracks. The sisters failed to notice the train coming from Bangalore City railway station and were run over. Fortunately, Vrushabhendra noticed the train and managed to escape.

Pedestrian killed

A pedestrian was killed when he was knocked down by an unknown vehicle on Saturday near Sujatha theatre in Rajajinagar.

The deceased, M Dhanraj, a factory employee and a resident of Ramachandrapur in Srirampur, was returning home from duty. He was killed on the spot.

House burgled

Thieves burgled a house in Hulimavu police limits on Saturday and made away with jewellery and cash. Police said, the thieves struck at the house of one Bhagirathi, a resident of BTS Layout in Arakere. The theft came to light when she returned home in the evening from work.
