Shivarajkumar is on the cusp of an enviable feat. His 100th movie, Jogaiah — The Legend Of Underworld was launched amidst much fanfare and hype last week. The launch also saw Shivanna appear in one of the eight avatars that he will portray in the movie.
Talking about Jogaiah... Shivanna promises that he’ll appear in a totally different form.
“The sequel is meant to be different. Prem has made some elaborate plans. I am not sure about them,” he says.
Talking about his performance during the launch, where he appeared dressed as Shiva, he says, “It was a tough sequence. I had to wield a sword that was very heavy. The dance was meant to portray a certain sense of power about the character. I don eight different looks in the movie and this is one of them. It’s the journey of how a man transforms from Madesha, Jogi to Jogaiah,” Shivanna told Metrolife. Talking further about his character as Jogaiah, Shivanna says that it’s all about attitude and how he carries it off.
Prem says the finer details about Jogaiah are yet to be finalised. “My idea is to portray a man who is transformed by his circumstances. He reforms his ways and what leads to that reformation is the crux of the story,” says Prem.
The make-up for every get up is elaborate and Prem says he got the looks done locally rather than depend on people from Mumbai.
Prem says the script is yet to be finalised, “there could be a lot of additions to the script and portions of it could be scrapped as well,” he reasons.
