The BBMP is planning to construct the swimming pool as a reciprocatory gesture to the Indian Air Force (IAF) for providing the Air Force land facilitating widening of C V Raman Road at Hebbal.
Ground breaking ceremony for the project was performed at Yelahanka recently.
Bangalore Mayor S K Nataraj inaugurated the ceremony in the presence of Air Marshal V R Iyer, Air Officer Commanding in Chief Training Command.
BBMP Commissioner Siddaiah and Air Commodore V S Bharti, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Yelahanka were also present.
