<p>According to a media report, the three children were infected with HIV while 17 others were suffering with hepatitis C in Ummed Hospital at Rajasthan's Jodhpur district. <br /><br />The relatives of the patients have also alleged that the state government has not provided facilities for a vital test to detect infection in blood even after five months, an NHRC statement said. <br /><br />As per the report July 11, a number of thalassemia patients have suffered due to infected blood transfusion in the state in the past as well. <br /><br />The NHRC took note of the matter on its own initiative and said the report, if true, raises serious issues of human rights violations of the patients. <br /></p>
