Last Updated 15 June 2009, 11:32 IST

Hollywood beauty Jessica Alba has apologised to her fans in Oklahoma, after a video of her plastering posters on public property in the state’s capital was made public. The Honey star pasted shark-conservation posters indiscriminately on public property including electrical boxes and a bridge, and her stunt lead to a police investigation,  reported a popular news-paper.

And now the embarrassed star has issued an apology saying, “I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realise that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through  before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision.”

The 27-year-old actress who is in Oklahoma, filming for the psychological thriller The Killer Inside Me, was seen in photos with buckets of glue at the vandalism sites in photos and videos published online.

"A number of shark posters were placed around downtown with heavy-duty glue, making them near  impossible to get off. It is  basically a vandalism case that could involve our new tagger laws,” Sergeant Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police told the New York-based newspaper.
