Kanaka, CMP make it to semis

The victory thus piloted Kanaka to the semifinals, where they will lock horns with CMP at the Sree Kanteerava stadium on Thursday morning. Kormangala SC and SAI, Dharwad, both of whom won on Tuesday, will play the second semifinal.

The only standout performance for BEML came from Supradeep, the cager scoring a match-high 25 points. But the lack of support from team-mates and a solid overall play from Kanaka allowed the Kolar side to walk out with a convincing victory.

In the day’s other match, CMP had to endure a second-half fightback from VBC, Mandya before coming out with a hard-fought 61-58 win.Leading 28-19 at halftime and seemingly in control, CMP suddenly lost control with VBC scoring at will.

But, CMP held their nerves well during the closing moments to book their last-four spot. Sports Authority of India, Dharwad outplayed Beagles 69-54 to make it to the semifinals.Mayur Bhatt, who scored 22 points, and Abhishek, who netted 20 points, were the architect of SAI win on the day.

The match was closer until half-time when SAI lead by a narrow three points at 29-26.
Yashash (21) and Riskesh (15) did the bulk of the scoring for Beagles.
In another match, Koramangala Sports Club beat NGVSC 43-35.
