Police face tough time to control crowd in town

Following an announcement that people could change their ration cards a large crowd gathered at the counter, manned by a private company personnel. The changing of ration cards has been entrusted to Kometo. The Dalit Sangharsha Samiti learnt that the government collected more money from the public than fixed.

Therefore, the Samiti convenor Sangasandra Vijayakumar and his followers complained to the Tahsildar Jayamadhav.
 
In response, the Tahsildar came to the ration card issuing counter and told the officers to collect not more than Rs 15 as fixed by the government. Prior to this, Rs 20 was being collected from the people.

Rajya Kisan Sabha General Secretary M Gopal rushed to the scene on hearing of the tension at the ration card counter and tried to pacify the crowd. He informed the card-holders that Tahsildar Jayamadhav had announced the dates to collect the ration cards.

He also explained the details of the villages required to be produced for the cards.

Dates alloted
July 23 has been given as the date to collect the cards in Hebbani, Mudugere and Chamareddyhalli; July 24 for Emmenatta, Tayaluru Byadarahalli and Vegamodagu; July 26 for Mudiyanuru, Vammasandra, Padmaghatta, Doddagurki and Mindahalli; July 27 for Poojarahalli, Rajendrahalli, Kogileru, H. Gollahalli, Gummalapura and Motakapalli; July 28 for Nangali, K. Bhayyapalli, Timmaravutanahalli and Honnikere; July 29 for Angondlahalli, Doddaguttahalli, Koladevi, Amblikal and Yadahalli; July 30 for Kurudumale, Sunnanguru, Gudipalli, G. Marandahalli and S. Chadumanahalli; July 31 for Mandikal, Nallur, Seegenahalli, Kashipura and Channapura.
August 2 has been alloted as the date for V. Hosahalli, N. Venkatapura, Uttanuru, Keelagani, Bestarahalli and Virupakshi; August 3 for Pulipapenahalli, Chikurugundlahalli, Byatanuru, Negavara and Agara; August 4 for Gummakal, Mallanayakanahalli, Mushturu, V. Guttahalli, K. Ugani, Balla, Devarayasamudra, Urukuntimitturu, Kavatanahalli, Kottamangala, Avani and Yadlagondlahalli; August 5 for Challapalli, Marakalaghatta, Rayalamanadinne, K. Chadumanahalli, Iragamuttanahalli, Bairakuru, Bangavadi and Doddaganahalli; August 6 for Sidlaghatta, Kappalamodagu, Hanumanahalli, Tirumanahalli, M. Venkatapura, Gukunti, Alanguru, Budideru, Yaluvahalli, Duggasandra and Sadari.
