Three killed in two accidents

The identity of the dead is yet to be established.  The accident occurred as the private bus, which was headed to Kolar hit the auto that was proceeding towards Narasapura in the opposite direction, the police said.

The auto, which came under the wheels of the bus, was reduced to a heap of metal.
Police attributed the accident to rash and negligent handling by the bus driver, who is absconding.  Rural police have registered a case.

Tractor overturns

Krishna reddy (32) was killed as the tractor he was travelling by overturned into a road side ditch near Nagireddyhalli in Mulbagal taluk on Saturday. Reddy succumbed to the injuries on his way to hospital. Rash and negligent driving of tractor is said to be the cause for the accident. A case has been registered.

Property dispute

Seven persons including four police personnel sustained injuries in a group clash over a property dispute in Tokalaghatta of the taluk, recently. There was a dispute over a land between Venkateshappa and Thimmarayappa over a land in the village. The matter was pending before the court, which ruled in favour of Venkateshappa.

Thimmarayappa and his relatives opposed Venkateshappa when the latter attempted to fence off the disputed land with stone slabs and with police assistance. A verbal dual graduated into stone pelting and the police who intervened were also not spared.

Anjinappa, Sriram, Sharadamma, Amaravathi and Chinnakka have been arrested in connection with the incident. Two cases - one lodged by Venkateshappa and another against assaulting police on duty have been registered.
