Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Krishnappa suggested farmers to plant saplings in their farm lands and houses.
Forest Conservator Ramesh said the country requires 33 per cent forest coverage. He emphasised that afforestation checks the ill effects of environmental pollution. Office-bearers of various Gram Panchayats in the taluk were present.
