The Guardianship Judge expressed his dissatisfaction over the inability of the police to produce the 20-month-old child who has allegedly been taken away by his father.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (South west) was asked to appear before the court tomorrow.

The court had earlier directed the Bindapur police station here to produce the child before it today on a plea by the child's mother.

The court's order had come on the application of the mother stating that she had been turned away from her matrimonial home by her husband in June, 2009, and her 20-month-old child had been snatched away from her custody by her husband.
The husband, in his reply, however had contended that the woman herself deserted him in December 2008 after the birth of the child on then October nine.

He claimed she left his house as she did not like his living with his inlaws.
The man also claimed that he could take care of the child properly as the woman did not have sufficient means.

The court, however, rejected his plea stating that it was the mother who had first right to the child.

It had directed the police to produce the child but the investigating agency in its report claimed the man was not available at his home since July 23 and his whereabouts were not known.

The court was not satisfied with the response of the police and directed the senior officer to appear before it.
