The six Commissioners of Police of Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata will attend the meeting, which will be chaired by the Bangalore City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari.
The Union Home Ministry has sanctioned funds under special security project. The meeting is likely to discuss utilisation of these funds. Steps to prevent terrorist activities and handling of the situation after a terror attack will also be discussed. In a recent meeting in Delhi, the Home Ministry had decided to convene the meeting in Bangalore on June 17.
