Deposing in the Kasab trial here, he said on reflex, he rushed to a nearby armoury depot and took a rifle along with a few bullets. "I saw the armed terrorists and fired 20 rounds at them from a distance of 20 to 22 feet," he said.

PSI Bhosle identified Kasab as one of the two terrorists who opened fire on passengers on that night. Special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam later told reporters that close-circuit television (CCTV) footage of Kasab and his terrorist accomplice Abu Ismail gunning down people at CST on 26/11 night would be screened in the special court on Thursday in the presence of advocates and media personnel. It is for the first time that a CCTV footage is being screened in the special court. The footage captures every moment of the terror attack when the two LeT terrorists fired at people in the main hall of the CST.

The duration of the footage is about one hour and fifteen minutes and it would cover the incidents that occurred between 9:30 pm and 10:45 pm on November 26. It is during this period that Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist, and Abu Ismail killed more than 50 people and injured close to 90.

Earlier, the prosecution produced still photos of the attack at the CST which were captured by a photojournalist. Both still photos and CCTV footage are important and independent evidence, as they would corroborate testimonies given by eye witnesses, Nikam said.
