Cong plans mega rally in Ch'nagar

Addressing a news conference here, he said Congress legislators have demanded taking up developmental works in the district for which the government had shown luke warm response.

It has become inevitable for the party to launch an agitation against the government. The rallies will be organised at hobli level to tell rural population about anti-people attitude of the government.

So far, the government has not announced district-in-charge minister for the district.

Part time workers

He said the government has made District deputy commissioner and department heads as ‘part time workers’. By giving deputy commissioner Chakravarthy Mohan the additional responsibility of MySugar, he will be three days in district headquarters and remaining days in Bangalore.

District In-charge deputy commissioner is on permanent leave. Assistant Commissioner Yogish is burdened with two responsibilities. Due to this,  both DC and AC are not in a position to look into the complaints of general public.

The epidemics have gripped the district and already five tribals have died in Karepalya haadi.

MLA C Puttarangashetty, ‘CHUDA’ former president M Ramachandra, Taluk Panchayat member B K Ravikumar, Mukkadahalli Ravikumar and others were present.
