<p>Transport Minister R Ashok told reporters on Thursday that the order had been withdrawn on the request of autorickshaw unions. <br /><br />RTOs had refused to provide Fitness Certificates (FCs) to hundreds of autorickshaws as they had failed to switch over to single glass.<br /><br />Ashok said while the single windshield norm has been withdrawn, there would be no compromise on digital meters.<br /><br />Auto unions have been told that electronic meters will be made mandatory soon. “We will soon issue orders and fix a time-frame for all autorickshaws to switch over to electronic meters,” Ashok said.</p>
