Cop's daughter ends life

 
Latha (28), the daughter of Nagaraj, a head constable attached to the City Armed Reserve police force, was married to Muniraj, a contractor, five years ago. The couple have a two-year-old girl. She ended life by hanging herself when there was no one in the house.

The incident came to light when Muniraj’s mother returned home, said Madivala police. In a complaint, Nagaraj said his daughter took extreme step due to harassment by Nagaraj and his mother.

Latha’s parents and relatives barged inside Muniraj’s house and ransacked it as soon as they heard about her death. The police rushed to the spot and pacified the angry parents and relatives. Muniraj is arrested.

2 die in separate mishaps

Two people were killed in two separate road accidents since Friday evening. Manjunath, an autorickshaw driver, died after a mini truck hit his autorickshaw near CMTI junction on Tumkur Road in Yeshwantapur on Saturday. The truck driver is absconding.

In another accident, Shanthamma (45) died on the spot when a speeding two-wheeler hit her while she was crossing the road on Friday near Veerasandra junction near Electronic City. Ranjith, the motorcycle rider, who sustained injuries, is  undergoing treatment,” the police said.
