'Nurture children's talent'

He was speaking after inaugurating Srimadbhagwadgita Recitation and  Srikrishnarjuna Fancy Dress Competition organised by Sri Saraswati Vidya Samsthe in Shidlaghatta on Wednesday.

The nurture and support given by the parents and teachers to the children will transform them into great men and women of future, he added.

“During 25 years of my stay in London, I found Indian students and in particular girl students topping the studies among students from 151 countries. This proves that Indian students are on par or even more intelligent than students from countries,” said Krishnamurthy, urging students to know about their roots and culture.

MLA V Muniyappa said country required the services of young people who could cleanse the society of its problems. School in general should take steps to nurture the talents of students.

As many 46 students took part fancy dress competition while 300 students took part Srimadbhagwadgita Recitation.

Deputy Director of Department of Public Instruction C U Chandrashekar distributed prizes to Harikrishna Yadav, Abhilash, Sheshadri, Suman,Kavyasri and Surabhi winners of the competitions.

Special officer Ananth, Special Invigilator Ramakrishnappa, Block Co-ordinating Officer R Srinivas, Sri Saraswati Vidya Samsthe’s Principal V Sitalakshmi, Secretary N Srikant and others were present on the occasion.
