<p>More than a dozen robbers looted the passengers of the two trains in two separate incidents that took place within an interval of 30-45 minutes.<br /><br />Both the robberies took place in the morning while the trains were awaiting the green signal standing in the yard short of the Jhansi railway station.<br /><br />The robbers first looted the passengers of Bangalore-bound Karnataka Express and later those of the Jabalpur-bound Jammu Tawi Express.<br /><br />"We have registered a case against unidentified men in connection with the two robberies," Government Railway Police (GRP) inspector Ram Chandra Maurya told reporters in Jhansi, some 300 km from Lucknow.<br /><br />"We have also sought assistance from the Jhansi district police in order to track down the robbers," he added.<br /><br />According to GRP officials, they became aware of the two robberies only after the passengers of the two trains registered complaints with them after reaching Jhansi station.</p>
