Reckless driving: Teenager gets bail

It may be recalled that the teenager ran over two killing them on the spot near the KIOCL gate at Kuloor when they were waiting for the bus. The driver, a 9th standard student of Cambridge School was residing with his elder brother in Mangalore while their parents are staying abroad. Panambur Police Inspector Valentine D’Souza said that the police have seized the Scorpio.

Man held for cyber crime
Police arrested a person for sending an obscene mail to his girl friend by hacking the e-mail account of a mobile company officer on July 31. The arrested has been identified as Prakash Shetty (38), a resident of Mannagudda.  Prakash’s girlfriend received an obscene mail on July 31 from the area manager of MTS mobile company Daniel. She filed a complaint against him at Kadri police station. On the same day, Daniel registered a case at Urva police station complaining that somebody had hacked his e-mail account. The police, who took up investigation, along with CID Cyber Crime Inspector of Bangalore, found that Shetty had himself sent the email by using Data card. It was said that Shetty’s girl friend was working in MTS mobile company. However, she was suspended recently.  He has been remanded to judicial custody.
