Fiery Adarsh grabs eight to power President's XI

Combined City, replying to President’s 302 for nine, found the going tough against Adarsh who bagged all but two of the wickets.

The off-spinner’s figures of eight for 49, a result of him sticking steadfastedly to good line and length, ensured that Combined City’s innings folded up for a modest 125 all out in 41.2 overs.

Forced to follow on, President’s XI showed some stomach for fight, finishing the day at 103 for one in 15 overs at the IAF ground. Suraj Sampath (34 n.o.) and Sanjay Kumar (47 n.o) led their batting.

The other two matches had to be called off without a ball being bowled.
