<p>The Commission has completed examination of 800 witnesses in connection with attacks in September 2008. According to a official release, the Commission is now in the process of finalising the schedule for arguments by advocates representing various societal sections including the police department and the government. <br /><br />The arguments will be heard district-wise from Thursday between 3pm and 5 pm. The Commission, with a view to providing sufficient opportunity to the parties to present their cases, has sought extension of its term. Commission’s term will expire on August 31, 2010.<br /><br />The witnesses who have deposed before the Commission include Hindu and Christian memorialists, representatives of churches, Christian and Hindu organisations, human rights activists, police and government officials. </p>
