CRPF constable who went on a killing spree, nabbed

Shankarappa Thippanna Koravar (28), who escaped to Davangere after killing his wife's uncle Yellappa Bhajantri (26) and his two children, Somappa (6) and Aishwarya (5), was nabbed after he shot at the constable in Davangere where he was stopped, SP (Dharwad) R Dileep told PTI.

The injured constable was shifted to a government hospital where he is stated to be "recovering". "After Koravar fled the scene yesterday, we had alerted police in different parts of the state," Dileep said.

The newly married Koraval, facing marital discord resulting in his wife leaving him and choosing to stay with her parents, blamed his wife's uncle for the state of affairs and enraged by his wife's desertion, went to her uncle's house and shot him and his two children dead.
