Despite being up close and personal with the glamour industry, Dhruva turns rather silent when the spotlights are on him. Talk about movies and his passion towards his career, and the rather shy Dhruva opens up. “Ever since I can remember, I wanted to be an actor. That’s why I had begun my training a long time ago but I was waiting for the right script,” he says.

Describing Addhuri as a different and cute love story, Dhruva says that the movie will give him enough scope to perform. Unlike his elder brother Chiranjeevi’s debut, this one will not be a home production. Instead, he’s banking on a young director. “Yes, there was a pressure to debut under the home banner, but for me, the script was a priority. When Arjun approached us with the script, my uncle (Arjun Sarja) was very impressed and felt that it would be a perfect launch for me,” says Dhruva, who looks upto his uncle for inspiration.

The film also stars Radhika Pandit, who Dhruva says he shares a great rapport with. “Radhika is a very good friend of mine. We already have nicknames for each other. I call her Radish and she calls me Gelaya. She is someone I am looking forward to working with and I know I will learn a lot from her,” he adds.

Another person who Dhruva feels the closest to is his brother. Talking about his relationship with Chiranjeevi, Dhruva says that the bond goes beyond just a blood relation. “Chiru and I are like best friends. I share everything with him and in many ways, I look upto him as well,” he says. Ask him how will he handle the comparisons with his brother and he says, “Chiru has a lot more experience than me so I don’t think there will be any chances for comparison. Plus both of us have our own individual styles.”

Expectations are something that Dhruva cannot escape, but he says he is rather confident. “My uncle always told me one thing — struggle for achievement. I have practiced very hard on dance, action and learnt horse riding and swimming. I even went to Abhinaya Taranga for acting classes. Now this student is all set to write his final examinations through Addhuri. I am sure of a first class and hopefully with the audience blessings, I would get a distinction,” he signs off.
