Members of Ideal Jawa Employees Union staged a protest in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner, demanding compensation for aggrieved workers. They urged for revising pension currently 0in the range of Rs 300 and Rs 400 to Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,200. President of the union M Mallaraje Urs, Bandanna and Siddaraju were in the lead.
In another protest, members of Pragathipara Yuvajana Okkoota and Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Praveen Shetty faction) demanded for imposing a ban on Karnataka Rakshana Vedike led by Narayan Gowda. The agitators alleged that the charges made on a journalist by that leader lacks truth and a case registered against that scribe should be withdrawn.

Peeved at the delay in taking a decision pertaining to the property belonging to Kumbaras, the members of Kulalagunda Brahmarya Kumbarara Sangha staged a protest in front of Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
Sangha president H S Prakash, working president Channakeshavaiah, advocate Arun Kumar and others alleged that the MUDA is helping the trust that was earlier vested with powers to look after the property, by practicing delayed tactics.
Members of Mysore Rakshana Vedike (MRV) staged a protest demonstration in front of Airtel office on N S Road in the city on Wednesday.
Led by their president M K Premkumar, the protesters raised slogans against the cellular
service providers and accused them of helping perpetrators by issuing SIM cards by misusing the documents of genuine customers. There are instances, where the service providers activate caller tones without bringing it to the notice of the users.
