'Give priority for organic farming'

Speaking at the free health camp for the tribal families in Ashrama School at Yadavanadu in Somwarpet taluk, organised by the Zilla Panchayat, District Health and Family Welfare department, Social Welfare department, Women and Child Welfare department, he said that many diseases can be cured with the herbal medicines prepared at home.

There is a need to give priority to organic farming in the country.  A sum of Rs 2 lakh is available with the Zilla Panchayat for the welfare of the tribals. A mela will be organised to provide facilities for the tribals in the future.

He said that the fund of Rs 50,000 is available for the construction of house in Tribal hadi at Sajjalli in Somwarpet taluk. However, as the hadi has lose soil, the foundation needs to be strong. In this background, the government will be asked to provide fund of Rs one lakh for the construction of houses.

The foundation for the community hall has already been laid at Sajjalli. The work will commence within 15 days, he added. ZP Standing Committee on Social Justice President S N Rajarao urged the people to maintain cleanliness. Taluk Panchayat President K M Lokesh, EO G N Nagaraj and others were present.
