A helpline for elders launched

Once a call is made to the above number, it gets registered technically and reaches the helpline staff.

The calls are manually registered too. Some of the services rendered by the helpline are medical assistance, shelter assistance, information referral services, police intervention, missing elders and repatriation, guidance and counselling for elders. The spokesperson of Help Age India said that abandoned elders would be provided  necessary health assistance.
