<p>Shanthiroad Studio, in collaboration with Think Tibet, is holding a three-day event, 50 years of Hope, that will showcase the culture, resistance and hope of half-a-century in exile. <br /><br />The curated show will present a multi-dimensional exhibition of elements that are integral to Tibetan culture.<br /><br />The three-day programme, from June 26 to June 28, will feature Indian and Tibetan artists, including Suresh Jayaram, Tenzin Tsundue, Shantamani M, and Mamata Sagar. <br /><br />A group of monks from the Dzonga Choede monastery, Hunsur, will create the sand mandala of Avalokiteshwara, the Buddha of Compassion.<br /><br />The inauguration of the event will be at 6.30 pm on June 26. This will be followed by the release of two books for children by Lama Mani Books.<br /><br />On June 27, at 4 pm, watch the screening of Murder in the Snow screening followed by a discussion on human rights. A story session for children by a Bangalore-based group, Patara and poetry reading by Tenzin Tsundue (English) and Mamata Sagar (Kannada) will be conducted.<br /><br />On June 28, 5 pm, there will be a brief discourse on Buddhism followed by the sweeping of sand mandala. <br /><br />The event will come to a close with a concert of Tibetan folk and contemporary music by various artists.<br /><br />The venue is Shanthiroad Studio, No 1, Shanthi Road, Shanthi Nagar.</p>
