Addressing a news conference on Friday, he said that Siddaramaiah’s internal agreement with the BJP has been the reason for defeat of Congress candidates.

“Siddaramaiah saw to it that KMK lost ministerial berth twice. He is responsible for the Kadur bypolls as well. When Siddaramaiah was in JD(S), he sidelined KMK and gave ministerial posts to H Y Meti and Krishnappa. Siddaramaiah is an opportunist,” said Prakash adding that Siddaramaiah has been misleading the entire Kuruba community.

“He built Ahinda just because he was not given an opportunity to become the CM. Later when coalition government came to power, Siddaramaiah sidelined KMK again and made him walk out of the party,” he alleged and questioned as to how Siddaramaiah can be considered as the leader of Kuruba community after all the injustice meted by him at KMK.

“This Kuruba leader called Siddaramaiah has to his credit the fame of crushing anyone aspiring to be leader from the community,” said Prakash adding that though Siddaramaiah is an opposition leader, he behaves like a ruling party MLA. “He has unholy nexus with the BJP both in the assembly and outside,” Prakash said and urged JD(S) candidate Y S V Datta not to fall for Siddaramaiah’s words.

Siddu speaks

Responding to the allegations lodged against him by Varthur Prakash, Siddaramaiah said that Prakash is a ‘cheap’ politician and he would not like to react to whatever Prakash has to say.
